Popular Drenthe festival, FestiValderAa, will celebrate its 10th anniversary from the 30th of June to the 3rd of July. The festival will be hosted in various locations in and around the Drenthe village of Schipborg.
The festival was originally supposed to celebrate its anniversary last year, but due to Covid-19 regulations, it only held a smaller ‘9.5’ edition of the event.
To compensate, the festivities are scheduled to last for a total of four days this year, rather than the usual three. On Thursday the 30th, there will be a special opening ceremony in celebration of its 10th anniversary, with musical performances from artists such as Frank Boeijen and de Baron.
Tickets for the event range from day tickets starting at 22,50 euro, to weekend-long wristbands for 49,50 euro. Children under the age of 12 are applicable for reduced ticket costs. Tickets to the theater performances and opening event are available separately.
According to the festival’s agenda, visitors can expect to experience a mixture of music, dance, and theatrical performances. This includes a guided ‘mini-expedition’ into the Drenthe wilderness, cabaret performances by Jan van der Veen, alongside a host of other performances and activities.
As an entirely cashless event without purchasable festival coins, expect to require a pinpas (bank card) or applicable debit/credit card to purchase drinks and food across the event’s premises.
