Diever, a village in Drenthe, now also wants to put itself on the map internationally as a Shakespearean village, with various works of art contributing. As reported by RTV Drenthe. Light artist Jaap van den Elzen
The theater group ‘the Shakespeare Theater’ in Diever is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year. To provide the anniversary year with extra cachet, a master plan ‘Diever, Village of Shakespeare’ has been set up and implemented by a foundation of the same name five years ago. Part of the plan is to connect the environment, residents of Diever, visitors, and the theater, with works by six artists.
