Ten people dead
The number of infections rose across the whole country in one day by 190, to 804 infections in total. Since Thursday, five new patients have also died, bringing the total number of deceased patients to ten. According to the RIVM, a total of 115 people have been hospitalized.
RIVM and the GGD are remaining alert to new infections and will apply the same protocol when new patients are found: isolation, contact research and continuous monitoring of a patient’s contacts. Through these measures they are trying to reduce the chance that the disease can spread further in Groningen.
