The GGD Fryslân has confirmed a further 37 positive cases this week
The number of Coronavirus cases in Friesland has risen over the last week, reports the GGD Fryslân. Nine more people tested positive for the virus in the Province compared to the week prior.
A total of 869 cases have been recorded in the Province, with 131 hospital admissions, and 69 deaths. The Coronavirus hotspot for the Province is the City of Leeuwarden (12 new cases), with Heerenveen following with 5 new cases.
The Province has also completed more tests than the week before, with 4,965 residents tested in the last week (up 731). The health authority has also confirmed a target time of 24-hours for test results, and has also published two new guides regarding young children 0 to 6 years old and 7 to 12 years old– these list various symptoms to look out for before sending your child to school.
