The new test-centre will be available from Saturday 5 September
The GGD Drenthe has confirmed that its Assen test-centre will move to Aziëweg 14 in the north of the city from this weekend, reports the Asser Courant.
The new location is accessible by car, bicycle or on foot. According to the GGD, the new test location has been set up more spacious, meaning that more people can be processed at the same time and maintain social distancing. The building at Aziëweg 14 can also have several ‘test lanes’ next to each other at the same time.
Up to and including today, Friday 4 September, tests will be conducted at the old location, at Mien Ruysweg 1.
The team of source and contact researchers will also be working on Aziëweg from Saturday. These employees can also perform tests themselves, so staff can be deployed more flexibly. “We are therefore pleased that both the team of source and contact researchers and the test street can go to this new location,” said GGD coordinator Jenine Bijker.
