Friesland has 8 Coronavirus patients in its hospitals, and Drenthe 4
Despite coming very close to a ‘triage’ situation, hospitals in the Northern Netherlands have come through the challenges posed by enormous Coronavirus case numbers. Indeed, so successful is the vaccination campaign, there is only one person (siffering from the Coronavirus) being cared for in a hospital in Groningen, reports the Acute Care Network Northern Netherlands (AZNN).
The number of Coronavirus patients needing hospital care is also declining rapidly in Drenthe and Friesland, with eight people in Frisian hospitals, and four in Drents hospitals. Five of the Frisian patients are receiving care in an ICU, with two requiring Intensive Care in Drenthe.
The last time the number of Coronavirus patients was this low in Groningen was in mid-September last year. The number of admissions in Groningen has been declining sharply since the end of April.
