Daily infection figures nearly halved over the weekend
In the municipality of Groningen, 28 new Coronavirus infections have been confirmed in the past 24 hours, 23 less than a day earlier. The seven-day average in the municipality of Groningen now stands at fifty infections: significantly down on a peak two weeks ago. As reported by the GIC.
Province of Groningen
In the province of Groningen, the RIVM noted 70 new infections in the past 24 hours, also lower than in previous days. On Saturday, 103 new infections were confirmed, and the Province’s seven-day average now stands at 103.
National figures
National figures have also fallen in the past 24 hours. The RIVM confirmed 2,983 new positive tests, compared to 3,446 the day before. The seven-day average across the country now stands at 3,830
