The Faculty of Law at the University of Groningen was forced to delay, and modify an exam leaked on Nestor
Translated by Adriana Dancu
Hundreds of law students were ready to take the Civil Law exam on Tuesday morning, until they received a message that it was being postponed, the UKrant reported. The exam turned out to have been on the University’s Student Portal (Nestor) in the night from Monday to Tuesday, which made it possible for students to see the exam tasks beforehand, confirms coordinator Evelieke Slob.
Fortunately, several students pointed out the mistake to the teachers, after which the exam was immediately canceled. The teachers then quickly adapted it so that it could still take place the same morning, with a delay of a few hours. However, if the error had only become known afterwards, the exam may have been declared invalid.
How it is possible that the exam became visible on Nestor too early is not yet known by the Law Faculty.
