The UB is partially open again from today
Students in Groningen that are beginning to feel like the walls are closing in can breathe a sigh of relief: the University Library (UB) will cautiously open again today! As reported by the GIC.
Students had been forced to stay at home in recent months, but this has often led to problems with concentration, feelings of isolation, and lower academic attainment. The situation has been especially unpleasant for international students, who aside from usually living in more precarious and substandard housing, have also not been able to make use of close-by family connections for a change of scenery.
Study places on the first floor will open from this week, but those who want to study must first make a reservation. Students are limited to two half-days in a week.
If things go well during the week, the number of available study places will be extended to other floors.
More information is available on the UB website.
