The largest market in the Northern Netherlands is returning to Groningen on October 3rd, promising a lively blend of shopping, entertainment, and cultural flair in the city centre.
The event will feature seven different markets spread throughout the city centre of Groningen, offering a wide range of products, including vintage items, handmade goods, antiques, books, records, food, and more. There will be a lifestyle and antique market, a farmer’s market, and a flea market. Food trucks will also be parked around to satisfy your cravings. A small fair for children and live music performances will add to the festive atmosphere.
For your convenience, storage points will be available for you to store the treasures you’ve purchased so you can explore the rest of the market hands-free.
The date coincides with Germany’s national holiday, The Day of German Unity (Tag der Deutsche Einheit). While shops in Germany will be closed, the market hopes to attract visitors from across the border.
For those interested in joining the market as vendors, applications for stalls are now open. Check the official website for more information.
Last year the organisers opted to increase the market’s size following its first successful run in 2022.
