This year, from September 20 to September 22, the capital of Drenthe will turn into a gaming centre for the 5th time. The Expo Assen will welcome multiplayer video games lovers for the Reality XX event. Visitors can play new and old-school games, participate in digital competitions, experience Virtual Reality and learn more about programming.
Three days of non-stop gaming will include Pokémon Go battles at Player vs Player tournaments, racing simulators for those who like fast cars, console games like Nintendo and Xbox, and many other competitions and games. In addition to gaming experiences, there will be social activities: participants can stream and meet famous Twitch streamers as well as learn about robots, open-source electronics platforms and 3D-printers at the HackZone.
The Reality weekends have previously attracted more than 1300 gamers and visitors who enjoyed the most popular LAN party in the Benelux. Launched in Heerenveen, Friesland in 2006, the Reality moved to Drenthe’s capital in 2015.
