Assen ghost tours moving to Groningen

“Creepy rounds” at night through downtown Assen are to stop, with plans to come to Groningen

As reported by the Asser Courant, horror guide Hans Pettinga has been taking people on night-time tours through the Drents capital for four years. But he is not shutting up shop, and plans on organising horror trips in and around Groningen.

On March 28, the guide Pettinga will take his last tour to all the dark places in the city center, which sometimes have horrifying stories attached to them.

“I really had four wonderful years. But ticket sales have fallen dramatically in recent months and I have arrived at the point where the revenues no longer outweigh the costs”, says Pettinga.

Pettinga does not exclude that the weekly tour will return to Assen in the future. “But for now I want to stop the regular tours.” The Assenaar wants to focus on the development of a series of Ghost Tours in the city of Groningen. “I am discussing this with the VVV in Groningen”, he added.

Whoever wants to experience the weekly Ghost Tours Assen for the last time can sign-up for the four tours this months. Enthusiasts can still book a tour through Assen for groups from 10 people on request.

Tickets are available here.
