Loud applause could be heard flats on the Oosterkade in Groningen on both sides of the water last night, and also on many other balconies, buildings and in other streets in Groningen.
Mayor Koen Schuiling (VVD) also gave thanks to health workers: “phenomenal what they do!”, he said.
“The applause is also intended for all ambulance, police, fire brigade, teaching staff and ICT people. It is hard for all service providers to keep our country going.
