It’s the tenth this year
In the north of the province of Groningen near Delfzijl, an earthquake with a force of 2.0 was measured around 14.41 on Monday afternoon. The epicenter was at Wagenborgen (Gemeente Delfzijl), which is north-east of the city of Groningen. The news has been reported by Aardbeving.nl
According to this website, it is the tenth quake in the province of Groningen this year, and the second in this municipality.
A total of 1376 quakes have been registered so far over the years. Last year, 2019, there were 89 quakes.
Last week, another small quake hit the village of Opende in Groningen, and Surhuisterveen in Friesland.
