On the night of March 5th, Leeuwarden police were called to Tweebaksmarkt, in the center of the Frisian capital, because of a house fire. The fire was quickly extinguished, but in the apartment above a tattoo parlor officers found a 21-year-old woman dead and two men, a 25-year-old with serious injuries and a 30-year who was superficially hurt.
All wounds were compatible with stabbing with a sharp object.
On Sunday morning, German police arrested a 27-year old from Leek as a suspect of the stabbing. He was found in Leer, a small town just across the Dutch border, reports Dagblad van het Noorden. The Dutch police will take the suspect into custody and proceed with his interrogation soon.
Oort was born in the United States but her father has Frisian roots, and she had just recently moved to Leeuwarden to follow the Leisure & Events Management course at NHL Stenden.
