Ever been stuck where to store your stuff whilst you are away? Look no further

Storage Share began as a start-up only a couple of years ago, but has grown extremely rapidly since then. Their newest location is opposite Leeuwarden train station, in the ex-Aegon building that also houses the student paradise Martk058, reports the Leeuwarder Courant.
Julian Doorten and Niels van Eck (both 30) began the company three years ago as an ‘Airbnb for storage rooms’. The idea is reasonably simple: lots of people have issues with storing their belongings, and there are more than enough empty spaces in which to store them.
But the concept has moved on since then, with the original ‘match-making’ service now being expanded to include Storage Share-owned facilities. “We are very happy with our new facility, a central location is a bit unique for storage rooms”, said Doorten. The company also has other Frisian locations in Sneek and Drachten.
Storage Share also has facilities in Groningen and Drenthe. The location in Hoogeveen was fully booked after four months, whilst another floor had to be added to the Groningen location to keep up with demand.
Two square metres of locked storage costs 35 euros per month, and Doorten says that they have really used the space available to its maximum, having taken over a portion in the centre of the ex-Aegon building: “there aren’t any windows in our section, so I don’t know what else could have filled the space- indoor football, maybe?”, he said.
