At 554 meters long, the Air Run festival is the longest inflatable obstacle course on earth – and it’s coming to Groningen and Leeuwarden this weekend.

While the obstacle course is the main attraction, the festival will feature nearly 100 inflatable attractions, including The Sweeper (made famous by the television show “Wipeout”), a Rodeo Unicorn and a life-sized Looping Louie, a children’s game featuring a toy stunt pilot. The event will also bring in catering and live music to keep participants entertained.
On Saturday, the festival in Groningen at the Suikerunieterrein will start off at 10 a.m. with a few hours specifically for families with children. From 2 p.m. onward, Dagblad van het Noorden reports that the event will be open to all ages.
On Sunday and Monday, the festival will return to the Oldehove in Leeuwarden for the second year in a row – however, the square in the city centre is too small to accommodate the entire length of the course. The Leeuwarder Courant reports that the course will be 450 meters long instead.
Advance tickets for individuals at 12.50 euros, and early bird ticket purchases are eligible for a fast pass to jump the queue. The Air Run Festival site also offers packages for families and friends. Tickets will also be available at the gate, but prices will be slightly higher.
